Certification:
The diving in Sudan can be challenging and as a
result we recommend that divers hold a
minimum certification of PADI Advanced Open Water
or equivalent and have 50 logged
dives. Each diver must present a valid diving license
and logbook to the dive guides on the first evening.
Safety
equipment:
Given the intensive dive schedule all guests must
dive with a dive computer or plan each
dive on a table. Given the limitations of a dive
table a diver with no computer will be
limited to 3 dives only per day.
Each diver must carry a main torch and back up when
night diver.
Dive insurance: Dive insurance is mandatory
and must cover the planned diving for the trip booked.
It is
the duty of the individual to ensure that dives
are within their insured depth limit.
Flying after diving:
A minimum surface interval of 24 hours must be allowed
prior to flying or going to
altitude.
Sudan operates Islamic Sharia Law. Alcohol is not
permitted and may not be imported. Non-Muslim women
are not expected to wear a veil, but visitors should
dress modestly
while ashore and respect local customs and sensitivities.
