M/Y Hurricane
was launched in 2004. At 36m in length and constructed of
steel she is both a large and stable platform from which
to explore the divers’ paradise of the Southern Red
Sea. She has 11 spacious en suite twin cabins each with
a small fridge, safety deposit box, individually controlled
air conditioning with a unique circulating fresh air system
and bedside controls for lighting and music. A DVD player
with screen has been installed in each cabin. The restaurant
is situated on the main deck with the saloon and bar on
the bridge deck. The saloon has a lounge area with DVD and
screen for viewing the day's footage or enjoying a movie
and the bar is stocked with a selection of wines and beers.
The outside areas all have teak decking with the upper sun
deck having a heated Jacuzzi and plenty of sun bathing areas.
The cocktail deck on has shaded areas and is perfect for
watching the sun sets.
The dive deck is fully equipped to cater for all diving
needs, scuba or technical, open circuit or re-breathers,
photo or video. Features include: tanks filled in situ;
air-drying for cameras; nitrox membrane; mixing panel; and
a Haskel booster pump. Nitrox, oxygen, helium, inspiration
tanks, pony cylinders, sofno lime and 15 litre tanks are
available by request at an additional charge. Two spacious
5.5 m zodiacs or RIBs are used to ferry
divers to the drop zone.
